The International Journal of Multidisciplinary Health Sciences and Research (IJMHSAR) is committed to upholding the highest standards of ethical conduct in research and scholarly publishing. This Ethics Committee Clearance Policy is framed in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and aligns with international best practices promoted by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). All research manuscripts submitted to IJMHSAR must comply with applicable ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements.
Authors must obtain prior approval from a recognized and accredited Institutional Ethics Committee (IEC) or Ethics Review Board for all studies involving human participants, animals, biological materials, or potentially sensitive data. Ethics approval must be secured before the commencement of the research. Authors are required to provide complete and verifiable details of ethics approval, including the name of the Ethics Committee, approval or reference number, and date of approval. Any amendments or deviations from the originally approved protocol must be clearly documented and justified.
For research involving human participants, authors must confirm that informed consent was obtained from all participants or their legally authorized representatives, in accordance with ICMR ethical principles. The consent process must respect participants' autonomy, dignity, and rights.
Authors are responsible for ensuring the confidentiality and privacy of research participants. Personal identifiers must be removed, and data should be anonymized or pseudonymized in accordance with ethical and data protection standards outlined by the ICMR and consistent with international norms.
Studies involving animals must comply with applicable institutional, national, or international animal welfare guidelines, including those issued by the Committee for the Purpose of Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals (CPCSEA) in India. Authors must provide evidence of ethical approval and describe measures taken to minimize animal suffering.
All submitted manuscripts must include a clear Ethics Approval Statement confirming that the study was conducted in accordance with ICMR guidelines and received appropriate Ethics Committee clearance. Where ethics approval was not required, a justified statement must be provided.
Any instances of ethical non-compliance, deviations, or violations must be promptly reported to both the relevant Ethics Committee and the IJMHSAR editorial office. Manuscripts involving unresolved ethical concerns may be subject to rejection, correction, or retraction in line with COPE guidelines.
By submitting a manuscript to IJMHSAR, authors affirm that all required ethics approvals have been obtained and that the research was conducted in full compliance with ICMR ethical guidelines and applicable regulatory standards. Failure to adhere to this policy may result in rejection of the manuscript or post-publication action.
The International Journal of Multidisciplinary Health Research envisions becoming a leading platform for the dissemination of high-quality research in all areas related to health, with the aim of improving health outcomes globally.
