The International Journal of Multidisciplinary Health Sciences and Research (IJMHSAR) is firmly committed to preserving the integrity, transparency, and reliability of the scholarly record. In accordance with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines and best practices, the journal has established clear and structured procedures for correcting, retracting, or withdrawing published content when errors, ethical concerns, or integrity issues are identified.
Article corrections are issued when significant errors are identified that do not invalidate the overall scientific conclusions of the work. Errata are published to address errors introduced during the journal's editorial or production process, while corrigenda are issued for substantive errors made by the authors. In all cases, a standalone correction notice is published, permanently linked to the original article, and indexed to ensure transparency. In contrast, the original article remains accessible with an apparent reference to the correction.
Article retractions are reserved for serious breaches of research or publication ethics, as outlined in the COPE Retraction Guidelines. Grounds for retraction include unreliable findings due to data fabrication, falsification, or significant error; plagiarism or redundant publication; unethical research practices; or failure to disclose important conflicts of interest. A formal retraction notice accompanies retracted articles, and the original article PDF is clearly watermarked "RETRACTED" on every page. At the same time, its metadata is retained in the journal archive to preserve the scholarly record.
Article withdrawal is permitted before publication, allowing authors to withdraw manuscripts at any stage of the peer-review process before acceptance. Once a manuscript has been accepted and has entered the production stage, withdrawal is permitted only under exceptional circumstances, such as confirmed ethical violations. After publication as the official Version of Record, articles cannot be withdrawn and may only be corrected or retracted.
In rare cases where serious concerns have been raised but an investigation is ongoing, and conclusive evidence is not yet available, the Editor-in-Chief may issue an Editorial Expression of Concern to formally alert the scientific community while the matter remains under review.
The International Journal of Multidisciplinary Health Research envisions becoming a leading platform for the dissemination of high-quality research in all areas related to health, with the aim of improving health outcomes globally.
