IJMHSAR follows a transparent APC model to support open access publishing. The APC is charged only after a manuscript has been formally accepted following peer review. The current APC is INR 10,000 for Indian authors and USD 200 for international authors. No fees are charged for submission, peer review, or rejection. Full or partial APC waivers are available for authors from low- and lower-middle-income countries, as classified by the World Bank, and for authors facing genuine financial hardship. Editorial decisions are independent of an author's ability to pay.
The International Journal of Multidisciplinary Health Sciences and Research (IJMHSAR) is committed to ensuring that financial constraints do not impede the dissemination of high-quality scholarly research and actively promotes equity and inclusivity in global publishing. To support authors from diverse geographic and economic backgrounds, the journal offers a structured Article Processing Charge (APC) Waiver and Discount Policy in accordance with best practices recommended by the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) and the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Authors whose corresponding author is affiliated with an institution in countries classified as Low-Income Economies by the World Bank are eligible for a 100% APC waiver, provided the research was conducted within that region. Authors from Lower-Middle-Income Economies, as defined by the World Bank, are eligible for a 50% APC discount, supporting researchers who may have limited access to institutional or grant funding for open-access publishing.
In addition, IJMHSAR considers discretionary waiver requests on a case-by-case basis for authors who do not fall under these categories but can demonstrate genuine financial hardship, such as self-funded students or researchers affiliated with non-funded non-governmental organizations. To preserve complete editorial independence and avoid any influence on editorial decisions, all waiver or discount requests must be submitted at the time of manuscript submission and are handled exclusively by the journal's administrative office, without disclosure to editors or reviewers; such requests should include the manuscript title and a brief justification for the waiver or discount.
The International Journal of Multidisciplinary Health Research envisions becoming a leading platform for the dissemination of high-quality research in all areas related to health, with the aim of improving health outcomes globally.
